Not that great of quality, but great customer service please read update! ( Buy the newer model )Everything works great, but really cheap material could probably break easily.**************** Update ******************************The seller has contacted me, and apologized for the inconvenience cause by their product, which shows the seller really wants to make things right, he offered me the newest model of the controllers for me to try out. Finally, I had some time to test the new remotes and I could say it feels like the quality has improved, buttons feel more solid. Secondly, the seller provide the best customer service I've received so far. I was treated with respect , and the seller made sure I was taken care of and that all my expectation were met. I appreciate the caring service I was given, and I will definitely buy from this seller again with confidence because I know the seller will be there to resolve any issues that arise. I am happy with the new model of INNEXT Remotes, so I could now enjoy my retro pie with my new controllers, which will last me for a long time, now that they more solid and have a higher quality. Keep up the good work!4Great value if you are using them on Windows, but not for LinuxThe controllers themselves would not be a bad value, apart from the fact that I can't get them to work on Linux. I've tried getting them to work on my multiple Ubuntu machines and they will not work, even after installing joystick and xboxdrv packages and messing with settings. Though, they are plug-n-play on Windows, but I bought them to use on my retropie Linux boxes, so I can't use them for their intended purposes even if they claim they work with Raspberry Pi and Ubuntu.I will say that hardware-wise, they are a good value. The buttons work well, they feel nice in the hand, the d-pad is solid, and they look nice. The R-buttons are too stiff is my only complaint, but they are still a solid value since you get two for less than the price of most other classic SNES controllers. They compare favorably with the iBuffalo and Elecom SNES style controllers, but my iBuffalo controllers are plug-n-play on Linux, while these are not, which is a real shame. I'd really like to get these working on Linux, but I can't find anyone to contact for support either. So, easily 4 out of 5 if you use them on Windows, while they are 0-1 out of 5 if you are using them on Linux.2Works great with the RetroPieWorked fine with the RetroPie. One of the controllers button mapping was different than the other when they were plugged in. Had to re-map them in the config. Not quite of a solid build and the felt a little more on the flimsy side. I prefer the iBuffalo controllers, but for a cheaper alternative for kids, these were fine.UPDATE 6/20I was contacted by the seller and sent the newer version of the iNNEXT controller for free in exchange for an updated review. These are the more squared off versions with square buttons. The Good: The latest version has a much more solid build. The buttons are not loose as the previous versions and the controllers have a little more weight to it. I am primarily using these with a RetroPie and they configured without any issues.Neutral: The ergonomics are ok. I am still getting used to it. It's a cross between the NES and SNES controller. I prefer the feel of the SNES controller, but this is something that will be different for everyoneThe Bad: The cable is too short. 5' puts you too close to the display. I already have USB extenders which fixed this problem. But if you are going to be buying these controllers, definitely spend a few extra dollars for the extenders.Overall, a much improved design that doesn't feel cheap. I use them as a regular controller alongside the iBuffalo. A longer cable would have been a great addition.4Excellent Quality - No Shortcuts TakenThese are better than genuine, original SNES controllers - which is not something I'd ever expected to say.In comparison these have ever so slightly firmer shoulder buttons and D-pad, but that's really splitting hairs. Especially as these controllers provide a much more positive tactile response to any button inputs compared to the original SNES controllers. They're not 'clicky', but there's a definite activation point, which is great. These also feel more solid, don't rattle like my original controllers do, and feel like they're made of higher quality plastic.Out of curiosity I opened one up to have a look at the internals and was pleased with what I saw. The plastic parts are free of flash and burrs, and the circuit board is well laid out and the traces and cuts are clean. The soldering is of good quality as well - there are no last minute hand soldered bypasses of questionable quality to be seen anywhere, and they left sufficient (but not excessive) slack in the connecting wires/cables to prevent stress failures down the road. In short it's well designed and clearly mass produced in a factory that knows how to produce the parts. The only thing I'd like to see would be another foot or so of cord, but that's easily addressed with USB extension cables if needed, and for most applications, the included 59in (4' 11") length is sufficient. These are excellent wired controllers no matter how you look at them, and at the asking price - they're an outright steal. If they were $15-$20 each I'd feel like they were a good value - at $10/pair I'm almost worried someone will come knocking at my door.5I am pretty disappointed with this purchase.I am pretty disappointed with this purchase. The controllers I received are not exactly the same as the ones pictured. They're very similar, but when I shopped around for controllers, I paid particular attention to the details in the pictures before I purchased. I have attached some pictures of my own to show the differences and I will list some obvious differences below. As for the quality, the direction pad is very loose and cheap-feeling. You do not get the same feel of precision as you do on an actual Super Nintendo controller. Sometimes it will register the wrong direction. I often accidentally switch menus in RetroPie because of this. Pretty much all of the buttons are loose and cheap. Everything just feels extremely thin and lightweight. You really don't appreciate the quality of Nintendo controllers until you buy something like this. This seems like something you would buy with your tickets at Chuckee Cheese.Listen: I didn't expect these to blow my mind, but it's not unreasonable to expect them to be the same as the ones in the pictures and at least be worth the $18 or whatever I paid.Obvious Differences:1) The controller in the manufacturer's pictures appears to have a rough texture, while the one I received is almost glossy and showed scratches and plastic molding lines out of the box.2) The manufacturer's pictures do not have the notch under the A button like the ones I received.3) The D-pad in the manufacturer's pictures is textured, while mine is smooth.4) The Start and Select buttons in one of the manufacturer's pictures are textured, while mine are smooth rubber. The controllers work, so I am giving them 2 stars.UPDATE:I received a new set of controllers from the manufacturer and I am very impressed with the quality of the replacements. The replacements are the boxy-styled controllers available in this same page -- not the same style as the controllers I originally purchased, but I believe the same price. These replacements really should be in a page of their own, because they are very high quality. They have a nice weight to them, they feel thick, and all of the buttons are tight and accurate-feeling. I originally purchased the SNES-shaped controllers because they're the familiar Nintendo shape. Although these boxy-styled controllers are a unique style, they're a nicer product in every possible way. They have changed the entire feel of my Retro Pie setup. I highly recommend you buy the boxy ones over the cheap SNES-shaped version.I'm not sure how to handle my original 2-star rating since this sales page has two completely different items on it. I will leave it as is for now.2(UPDATED) One arrived dead, other works *sometimes*Revised Review:The company reached out to me to say the controllers should both work with my systems, so they sent out replacements. After testing, they do work with RetroPi on SNES games (and N64 games, haven't tested other types). The buttons don't show any sign of wear so far, and the cables seem to be holding up nicely as well. The D-pad is not 100% like an SNES controller, but I only notice in games like Street Fighter II. Not a big deal for me, I'd rather play Mario RPG or Harvest Moon. Works fine in Super Mario World.Shoulder buttons are similarly *almost* great. Feel isn't the same, more travel, and sometimes I miss the actuation. I'll get used to it, and it's not a failure point. On OpenEMU they work the same as RetroPi. On STEAM (for mac) they do not work at all (0% functionality) and do not show up in the "controllers" tab under settings. I'm ok with this, but took a star off. I'm sure these controllers are not faulty, since they work so well with the SNES emulators. They are advertised to work with Mac, and they do (OpenEMU) and are not labeled for Steam, but the company told me in an email that they should definitely work 100% with Steam. Maybe on Windows they do, but not on mac with the current updated version of Steam. I have a generic 360 controller (usb) that works with Steam on Mac, so I figured it should all be the same USB HID thing going on, but apparently it's not quite the same? I don't know enough about these things to say, but it's not working there. They will stay with with Raspberry Pi in the kids room for now.____________________________________(one star review) One controller works with RetroPi. Other controller does not work at all. The one (functioning) controller does *not* work with macOS (OpenEMU) except for the L/R shoulder buttons. When I try to map the controller, it shows up as a generic USB controller, but the D-pad and A/B/X/Y buttons do not register. In Steam (for Mac), the L/R and Start/Select buttons register in controller mapping, but again, d-pad and A/B/X/Y do not.Quality control seems low for a product with such high reviews.4better than Ibuffalo for half the priceThese controllers are dope. Wall jumping in Super metroid is a breeze. concave X and Y buttons. Rubber start and select buttons. Smooth Dpad, up and down inputs don't get mixed wth left and right inputs like most cheap end controllers. If you've got a Retropie setup going, these are absolutely the controllers for you.The only minor downside is the relatively short cords, which are in fact 5 feet as labeled in the description. i would recommend a USB extensions cord.Thank you iNNEXT!5Great controllers for the price, black with colored buttons looks great.Had an issue with the controllers and iNNEXT personally emailed me to resolve it. The controllers are great for playing classic games. especially those looking to extend their controllers to multiplayer sessions. These work great for Genesis, SNES, NES, and Gameboy games, and any handheld gaming machine up to the DS on emulation. Great for the price, don't expect original SNES quality (obviously), but they ar definitely comfortable and responsive.5Defective(resolved)I mean yea they work I guess, but I ve had mine for less than 2 weeks and the wire cover has already pulled out of the controller exposing the wires. See picture*update*I was since emailed directly by the manufacturer and they apologized for any defective items. They are sending me 2 more controllers for the inconvenience. Great customer service, happy that they take pride in their products. Update 5 stars5Decent for the money, but you might want to look for something else...Decent controllers, for the price they are hard to beat, unfortunately they have some drawbacks.Pros:Good PriceNice design, looks goodCons:Sometimes buttons stick a bit making anything you play very frustratingA little flimsyEdit: I am raising this up to a 5-star review. They have e-mailed me several times, apologized for the troubles with the controllers, as well as offering to replace them free of charge with a newer model that they have improved and addressed the problems with the buttons. So due to their customer service actively trying to make things right, I am giving this 5 stars, wish more companies acted like this company does. Once the new controllers come in, I will add to my review a little bit as well!5
