    "Index" stock is not "Card" stockEdit 2015: Note that the product description does now include the fact that this is 199 gsm (110 lb) or 163 gsm (90 lb). Always compare 'gsm', not 'lb' weights to avoid being tripped up by the many classification systems which all assign different pound numbers.Additionally, several product pages have been condensed to a single page, causing my reviews for both weights to appear here.Original Review:Historically, product sold as 'card' stock is measured by 'cover' weight, not 'index' weight. Both are weights of 500 sheets, but the sheets are different sizes - index is larger.If this was properly labeled, it would have reported that it is only 199 g/m^2. I was expecting it to be fully 50% heavier, 297 g/m^2. If this was measured by the same scale that e.g. Wausau Paper Card Stock, 96 Brightness, 65 lb, Letter, Bright White, 250 Sheets per Pack (91904) is measured by, it would only be 74 lb, not 110 lb.Amazon should list the g/m^2 weights for the paper and card stock it sells, since there's no way with that measurement to hide what amount of paper you're actually weighing. 3Nice for printing & craft usesThis is nice paper for the several applications in which I use it, a variety of both craft and printed projects. Before buying this I researched several websites, Neenah/Wausau Paper included, so I would purchase the right product for the right purpose, after having read the various reviews on Amazon about the weight of this paper. The paper is a nice bright/clean white color (not blinding and not so bright that it looks dirty/off white), and is smooth matte on both sides. It is certainly not too thick to go through my two laser printers, although I typically have fed it through the manual feed slot only because I haven't been printing in excess, just one or two copies of an item. The toner stays on the paper and does not seem to rub off (as some other card stock/index stock papers), even when used in double-sided printing. This is "thick enough" to be a thin card base, however when I have used it that way I usually layer the front of the card to build up thickness and have even lined the card with coordinating paper, again to build up thickness - it works great that way. I have used it in my Cricut and Silhouette machines and found that it cuts well, although I would not recommend using this paper on a brand new mat for either machine - it sticks terribly and then tears apart your design and cuts the life of your new mat. This paper takes well to stamping, both dye based ink and pigment ink (although pigment requires a bit longer to dry or to carefully emboss - once this paper curls it takes a while & a lot of weight to uncurl), takes markers well enough not to bleed through or smudge (I use scrapbook markers, sharpie markers, BIC permanent markers, The Board Dude Metallic Makers, and several others), works well with gel pens, ball point pens, and colored pencils. I use this paper with punches to make various shaped gift tags and it makes for a clean edge and hasn't been too hard to punch. I have even used it to "sew" a design on a card with a sewing machine and that seemed to work well. This is a great product for my uses and I will definitely purchase again. 5False advertisingThis is the absolute thinnest "card stock" I've ever seen. Total waste of my $. The 80 lb stock I get from office depot is drastically thicker and heavier than this supposed 110lb stock. Picture shows 3 pieces of this glorified notebook paper bending under it's own weight 1Printed picture via HP LaserJet Pro M281fdw and ink smeared even after lettting dry for 10 minutesI bought this card-stock to print out die cut images which were then to be cut using my cricut machine. I purchased this cardstock in particular because it said it was both inkjet and LASER JET compatible (actually said that it was guaranteed to work on both). However, after two test runs, ink smeared after touching the page even after letting air-dry for about 10 minutes. Since I opened the package, I am now stuck with this item. 1Neenah Exact Index Card sold by Amazon is the better choiceOn researching 110 lbs Card Stock I had two options among others 1) Wausau Paper Index Card Stock, 92 Brightness, 110 lb, Letter, White, 250 Sheets per Pack(49411) Sold by: MyOfficeInnovations for $8.71 OR 2) Neenah Exact Index Card Stock, 250 Sheets, White, 94 Brightness, 110 lb, 8.5 x 11 Inches Sold by: Amazon.com LLC for $11.99. Except for brightness they were the same. So I ordered one of each.1) The Paper Index Card Stock, 92 Brightness, 110 sold by: MyOfficeInnovations I noticed the following. As other reviewers commented that this is thinner than 110 lb paper. Also as others commented the outer shipping package was intact but the Paper packaging was ripped open and about 10% of paper side was bent, I can not use the bent paper so they go to waste. Over all it is a negative experience and will not purchase such an item again.2) The Neenah Exact Index Card sold by Amazon was well packaged, sheets intact not damaged and the thickness feels better. Overall this is a better product, service and worth the extra $3.28. I will purchase the Neenah Exact Index Card sold by Amazon in the future. 5Defective card stock and unfair seller - My Office Innovations.This is the worst card stock I've ever tried!!! It is flimsy and will not die cut without tearing! The company, My Office Innovations, will not issue a refund because I "opened the package" and also used it"!? I used 1/2 sheet of the 100; how would I find out it was defective if I didn't open the package & try it?? They refuse to issue any part of the $15.66 I paid them for this defective product. Buyer beware. 1Damage in transit?I love this paper but my real complaint is due to the packaging. Product came completely in shambles. Both ends of the bag were torn and crumpling with the paper inside all over the place. Thankfully it wasn't enough damage to request a return but I'm definitely surprised it wasn't worse by the look of the bag. 4Excellent quality for stamping ...I make a lot of cards, and have just started using stamps -- both acrylic/rubber, and digital. This card stock works great for both.It takes the ink well using acrylic or rubber stamps with both water- and alcohol-based inks. And it goes through my HP printer with no problem when I print digital stamps. I then color the outlines using colored pencils, Spectrum Noir markers, or Ranger Ink with an aquapen.At 110 lb, this is heavy enough to be great as a card base, too. And it performs well in an embossing machine (I have a Sizzix Big Shot).Price is excellent for this quality. Will definitely purchase again, when I run out. 5Not what it was supposed to be!I bought this product with the understanding that it was 110lb paper. I used to work in a commercial office supply place, this is clearly not 110lb paper. Not to mention I also received the same day 105lb paper from another vendor. The 105lb was definitely a much stiffer paper, what I expected. I am pretty sure that someone messed something up. I don t know what the 110 is supposed to represent on the label but it is not the weight of the paper. I added a photo of a chart I found online. 199g/m2 is the equivalent of 53lb paper. Not what I was looking for. It is definitely listed wrong. There are multiple places in the listing stating it is 110lb paper 1Five StarsGreat paper. Used this to print adult coloring books and it worked fantastic. Nice thickness and color. 5
